True Religion

He looks up at me slowly, taking me in, trapping me in those big brown eyes, then he raises the glass of water i supplied and swallowed.

It might be me, but time seemed to slow, I watched as his tongue brushed his lower lip.

Don’t you want me the way I want you?  I scream in my mind as I turn away.

I want him,I crave him and I don’t know how he hasn’t realized. I say it in my voice, my eyes, my smile, my hands, my soul. My very being.

I want him to pray with me while my hands are tied. Make me sound like a tired choir while he takes me to church.

Slowly, take my body.
Eat me like it’s holy.
I have.
I have been
I’ve been waiting for eternity.
